Copper Dragons are masters of stealth, slipping silently and swiftly through the forests and jungles where they live. Often hunting in groups, their prey rarely know they are being stalked until the dragon’s at their throat. In the air they are agile and skilled. Copper Dragons prize family groups, spending large amounts of time teaching their young skills. So great is their love of life and family that they will sometimes adopt orphaned dragons of other breeds to raise.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Vatharoen of the Springs was, according to the legends, a dragon of both great size and great love. His clan numbered in the hundreds, the affectionate beast's habit of adopting both human and dragon orphans creating a pack that was as diverse as it was powerful, a source of kindness and good that stretched protective wings over all those who lived near it. But great light invites great darkness, and an army of savage men, unappreciative of Vatharoen's defending of their prey, fell upon his clan in the dark.

All died, save one. Vatharoen alone remained, stained in blood, standing over the bodies of his kin and their killers, many of whom had fallen at his claws. But he was not the same.

Rumors are whispered, even now, about what became of him. The tales vary as much in their details as do their tellers, but they all tell the same tale at their center--that he now roams the shadows, searching always for a way to raise the dead, to restore those who were stolen from him by the dark.
