Geode Dragons are closely related to Stone dragons. They are covered in a hard stone-like material as well as beautiful crystal. Their wings are entirely useless for flight, but they help attract mates. The dragons with the most brilliant and colorful crystals are more likely to mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Beirnar (bay'r-naar) was found by Honareme as an egg lying in the soft pine-needles of the valley forest. His father, Magatir, did not know that he existed as he believed the strangely-coloured egg to be a pebble that had become stuck under his scales. In fact the egg was created as Magatir slept under the pine trees—a particularly acidic rainfall had dissolved a tiny portion of his outer layer of stone, which dripped down to form a geode as the water evaporated and left the solid behind. The presence of both stone dragon magic and that of the black dragons Mijari and Ifei allowed the formation of a tiny egg rather than a simple burr under Magatir's scales.

Honareme, gathering the soft fallen pine branches for nesting materials, heard the scratching from inside the egg, and brought it back to the rookery nest to raise as her own.
