Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

For many long years, this dragon scraped out an unhappy existence under the dominance of a particularly aggressive female. Her life was a series of endless nightmares: receiving harsh blows from the alpha whenever she dared so much as look at a male, clinging desperately to sheer cliff walls during the frequent and battering storms, endlessly wondering whether life was worth living at all.

Until one day, when a Daydream dragon fluttered overhead, and popped a most startling revelation into the Blacktip's head.

Suddenly rearing up while taking a beating from her alpha, she announced "I'm a DRAGON, for cripes sake. I ain't takin' this crap anymore!"

At which point she cheerfully flipped the older female head-over-heels into the ocean.

While everyone else in the flock gasped, Noonere took off, spreading her wings freely for the first time and wandering cheerfully on to greener... coastlines, where she's since struck up a loving relationship with the very same Daydream who inspired her.
