Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

He takes this job very seriously, but when raindear is not actively checking her dragons, he can be found making up games for younger hatchlings to play. He loves to play and entertain younger hatchlings. He is unconcerned about the fact that he will never grow up. If he grew up he might lose his love for play and he would prefer that that never happen.
