Sunsong Amphipteres are an unusual breed. Due to light interference caused by their magical nature, they don’t seem to be affected by any ambient light source. However, when struck by direct sunlight, they shine a brilliant gold. They are playful and ever in flight; their ethereal and mysterious appearance and the fact that they are usually only seen at a distance have led many to believe they are a symbol of hope and good fortune.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Most sunsongs are elusive, distant creatures, seen but not met, always drifting high on the winds above the grasp of mortal creatures. The Lady Quazilin, however, is not most sunsongs. An exceedingly affectionate, cheery beast, prone to high-pitched shrieks of delight and surprise hugs, she considers everyone to be her children (even people far older and beasts far larger than herself) and lavishes them with love and attention accordingly. The subjects of her affections have included such diverse recipients as a toad, a grandfather with amnesia, an evil king, three hellhorse hatchlings, and a baby sloth. While some of these encounters certainly had the potential to go sour, the lady's good humor, unstoppable optimism, and endless amounts of love have never ceased to win the day, with even the most hardened and unpleasant of those she "adopts" often coming around to the side of joy and goodness again.
