Blusang Lindwyrms are quite different from most dragons in that they lack hind legs. In this regard, they resemble snakes, and this is evident in their movement; these lindwyrms slither along the ground, using their forelegs to lift them over rougher terrain. Blusangs are a coastal breed, preferring to live along rocky beaches and in seaside caves rather than sandy locations. They are omnivores who graze on seaweed from time to time, although their primary form of sustenance is fish.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Since the day he hatched, Saltiph has always felt very out of place within his cave. Other dragons don't seem to share his interest in where he came from. He finds their blatant lack of respect for their own history to be somewhat stupid. He believes that by knowing where he came from, he'll be able to learn more about where he can go and what he can do. Saltiph has always wanted to know where dragons came from and if they all looked different many, many years ago. Throughout his life he has watched many things change. The coast always seems to be changing, as do the fish that visit his favorite beach. He believes that everything around him, other dragons included, are always changing. This makes him curious about how things used to be. It also makes him very scared that there may have been a time when dragons didn't exist. Saltiph spends a great deal of time searching for knowledge because of his fears and refuses to believe the world can live without dragons.
