Candelabra Dragons are a spectacular sight against the dark midnight sky. The glowing orbs that decorate their golden wings can be seen from far away and give them the unparalleled brilliance they are recognizable for. Proudly earnest, Candelabra Dragons will often go to extreme lengths to protect those close to them, even giving their lives to rescue a loved one from peril. However, they do not take lightly the breaking of a promise, and have been known to unleash a furious wrath when betrayed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Theodotus was the first male dragon to hatch under Damian's care, and thus considers himself like a father to the rest of the dragons that are brought into his home cave. Incredibly friendly and protective, he shows some annoyance at any level of affection directed towards another dragon by another person, even if it is completely innocent. He frequently spends his late evenings flashing his lights and entertaining his cavemates. Legend has it he was even able to mate with Theophila the Olive Dragon once, though the egg that was supposedly produced was never seen in his cave.
