Ovidrakes are an easily startled breed, quick to flee the scene at any sign of trouble...or any sign of an angry parent. These drakes are the bane of nesting parents everywhere, as any nest left alone too long is a prime target for an Ovidrake’s thieving claws. Their favorite foods are eggs of any kind. From the tiniest chicken egg to the largest dragon egg, if they can get their claws on it, they will try to steal it away for dinner. This breed will eat the entirety of the egg, shell included, chomping up the shell fragments and using the extra calcium to fortify their own eggs as protection against their own kind. Their beaks can manage to crack open most eggs, though if an egg is particularly tough, the Ovidrake will have to abandon their prize and look for something a little softer. Some researchers believe when eggs of species not normally found together wind up in the same pile, it is because an Ovidrake was there and had to give up on the meal.

Though it may appear at first that dragons and drakes have much in common, the two are completely separate species. Drakes are smaller and less intelligent than their cousin species, though both dragons and drakes sit comfortably near the top of the food chain. They are always found bearing antlers and leathery wings. Drakes share many of the same habitats that dragons do, and typically hunt in packs.
