Striped Dragons come in a dazzling array of colors complemented by an intricate pattern of stripes. These bright colors and patterns help attract their favorite food, insects. Because their prey is so tiny, striped dragons must spend a large portion of their day eating. The color of the offspring is usually determined by the dragon’s mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. SwiftSilk is a beautiful striped dragon and is cherished by the males in her cave. She uses her dazzling stripes and her flawless wings to attract mates. So far this has worked very well for her. She was found in the cave as an abandoned hatchling. Her parents had gotten her some food before they chained her to a tree. She never wished to see her parents again. She came to live with other dragons. She learned to respect most of them. She also learned to take care of the hatchlings and eggs she found at the cave where she was abandoned. She had learned to fend off the vampire dragons from the beautiful eggs that she picks up from the cave. She flattens her ears and bares her teeth as a threat to them.
