Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Azar, which is Persian and means "fire", is a Red Dragon from "kaia-chan's scroll" and has received the epithet "Ryuuensei" or "Dragon Flaming Star".

In contrast to her comrades, she despises her owner. When she was still an egg, she had suffered a sickness called "soft shell". Fortunately, she had not suffered any side effect, but she still does not forgive her owner for her carelessness. The other two dragons, which were also in their eggs, had the same fate and one of them died. This is the reason why she does not forgive her owner. Furthermore, she believes that her owner only took her in, because she only needed Azar to warm her eggs to accelerate the hatching process.

It is unknown why she has not left the cave yet though.
