Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

The Keen Gum Imp appears to have a teething problem... constantly. Many juvenile dragons go through a stage where they have a sudden urge to chew on a twig or gnaw at a boulder, as their teeth grow in, but in the Gum Imp it's a little different. She will find stones and pebbles, lovingly place them in a pile, then chew continuously on them like a bovine chewing the cud. Some of the other hatchlings are a little scared of the Keen Gum Imp, but she has a good heart, despite the fact she acts like a hungry mouse most of the time.
