Neotropical Dragons are a breed that originate in rainforests. They are fun-loving and enjoy lounging on tree branches, eating whatever fruit they find. They are also often found sunning themselves on rocks, using their large wings to soak up the rays. In the summer, males compete for mates by showing off their striped wings and gliding in spirals down the tree trunks. It is said that the larger the wings, the more likely the male will attract a suitable mate.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Russet Banana prefers bananas that have the darker orange, brown, or red peels. He doesn't distinguish between sweet or starchy, he doesn't care about seeds or no seeds, not even size matters to him. All he is interested in when selecting bananas to pick or steal is peel colour. He never bothers with yellow bananas, and green bananas he doesn't give a second glance. He could go either way with pink bananas—if it's an easy steal, he'll nab one, but he won't hang around and wait for an opportunity to arise. He is continually annoyed at the number of tourists who come to the Madder Jungle thinking that all bananas are yellow, and in his spare time runs a tourist education programme to try and educate the tourists. Given that every few weeks brings a whole new batch of tourists, this is a losing battle. He sometimes wonders where all the tourists come from. Valkemare must be pretty big.
