Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It enjoys gathering pebbles and other small rocks and putting them in a pile.
And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.
Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.
Around 4:30 AM PST on January 17, 1994, residents of the greater Los Angeles area woke to the violent shaking of a magnitude 6.7 earthquake. This quake would be known as the Northridge earthquake, for the blind thrust fault it occurred on--the Northridge Thrust (from SCEDC). The existence of the Northridge Thrust was not known until the occurrence of this earthquake (from FEMA for Kids).
Northridge (the dragon) was named for this earthquake and the associated fault. She is as unexpected as the Northridge earthquake, for her keeper hadn't wanted another earth dragon until she spotted Northridge as a hatchling outside her cave one day.
