Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Part of the team of Sylvain clan dragons that combats groups of predators, Hyoton specializes in ice-based magic. As the most skilled tracker of the team, Hyoton usually scouts ahead when the team is following a large moving group of opponents. Her role in combat is simply to support the team however she sees fit, as she is able to attack from afar and close range with her precise magic. Because the team is largely comprised of male dragons with short lineages, Hyoton sometimes feels out of place, and strives to demonstrate that she can hold her own in a fight. To accomplish this, she often trains with the older female Black Dragons in the clan, believing that one day she will match their skill and power.
