Frilled Dragons are smaller than most other breeds, but when threatened, they stretch out their wings and frills to appear larger. They generally do not like to fight and prefer hiding to confrontation. Frilled dragons live in small groups and often band together to scare off potential threats. Males also use their frills as a way to attract mates, with those displaying the “best” frills being more likely to breed.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Frond is, so far, the third mate of Punch Polkadot. She doesn't necessarily approve of his sleeping around, especially since she's well aware she isn't his favorite, but she lives with it nonetheless. Frond lives independently, caring for her mischievous daughter, Lizard, as best she can. The two get along well, but Frond worries immensely for the scamp with how much trouble she gets into. Frond herself is quiet, unobtrusive. She doesn't like getting involved with others or their business and doesn't really speak out. She doesn't seem to value her own opinions, seeing herself as just average and unworthy of taking a stance in such a big, wild world. She lives by her own values, separate from the rest, having only gotten with Punch as a means to boost her own low self-esteem. Though meek, Frond manages to be strong in her own way. She supports herself and daughter well, though Lizard causes her much strife, and knows how to defend herself if ever she ends up in a fight.
