Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Vayu has the same name like the Hindu god of wind and air. Following his nature, he spends most of the time flying in the sky. Therefore, he was given the epithet "Dragon Flying Star", which shows that he belongs to "kaia-chan's scroll".

No matter what the weather is like, he is always spending his time in the air and only lands to rest. He loves to feel the cool breeze, which blows at his scales on windy days or the feeling of water drops falling on him when it rains. However, he is also like the warm feeling of the sun, which touches him during his flight. To make it short, each weather has its own charm to make him rise into the sky.

Sometimes, he flies with other dragons in a normal slow speed. However, if he is alone, he tends to fly as fast as possible. He is so fast that he is invisible to the humans' eyes and is only acknowledged as a strong wind.
