Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Drusilla is an odd dragon, even for a vampire... enough so that one might think that her egg got addled when she was still in the shell, perhaps before it was infected. Even during her active hours, she will often stare into space, crooning a haunting melody. Yet in an instant, she can snap and become as a hunting tiger, staring at others with those cold, dead, black eyes as if they were prey. It's unnerving, to say the least—she doesn't even breathe.

Drusilla hunts alone, and is a messy eater, returning to the Den spattered in red. She is also attracted to the color red in all forms. Bottles of tomato sauce go missing and are found later, empty, with puncture marks.

Few of the dragons have ever sensed a cohesive, pointed thought from her—most is singsong nonsense—and Nikolaius is of the opinion that she's insane. Needless to say, all the dragons avoid her, and the Guardians keep her away from hatchlings and eggs.

But despite her flaws, she can behave quite affectionately.
