Ice Dragons are fierce predators who hunt using their extremely cold breath. The breath of an ice dragon can freeze its prey solid in seconds. The body of an ice dragon is so cold that icicles will form along its skin no matter the outside temperature.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

He prefers to be alone, residing in freezing climates that are barely habitable to humans or any form of creature. Because Icio is basically a hermit, cutting himself off from the world, he has developed a cold heart and a nasty personality. Any creature or unlucky, unguided person that is caught in a rough blizzard and happens to cross Icio's path would not get any help from Icio. Icio views unlucky creatures caught in a blizzard simply that; unlucky. He has no mercy for anyone or thing. Icio has actually not visited his mother, Burrea, or his father, Wintro, since he was a young hatchling. He doesn't plan on visiting them anytime soon either, and even the idea of a true mate, let alone meeting a "stranger" dragon is repulsive to him.
