Guardian Dragons have large shields on the end of their tails. Although the shields appear to be heavy, they are light, yet nearly unbreakable. Guardian Dragons use their tail-shields, as well as their wings, to deflect attacks and protect others. Often, they will guard the eggs and hatchlings of a nest while others are away. They are generally peaceful, and will not retaliate unless necessary. They have no need to forage or hunt, as they are fed by those they protect.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
User Description
Drakaider is the unofficial mother hen of the dragons Youkoartemis has stolen. She'll watch over the eggs and young hatchlings like a hawk, snarling fiercely at any who would dare to look at all threatening, spreading her wings and making herself look as big and dangerous as possible. She also watches over Beek, who is so small and defenseless that she tends to treat him as a hatchling, not that she's much different when interacting with the other dragons.
Drakaider is a very sweet, loving, and maternal dragon, and she rarely lifts a claw against another living creature. She is open and friendly to all, and is a great conversationalist, but beware of making any rude comments regarding her family, as she WILL get mad. If SHE gets mad, there's a chance the other dragons will get angry as well, because many of them love her for her maternal ways, and they may attack the offender even if she doesn't.
