Red Dragons are similar to typical story book dragons. They shoot flames, can fly, etc. However, they aren’t evil creatures as depicted in myths and won’t go around raiding castles, killing knights, or kidnapping princesses. They live in a variety of habitats, from forests to coastlines to abandoned castles, usually in warm climates, and eat whatever living creatures they can find.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Rasden wasn't much for pillaging, like the other Red dragons. In fact, Rasden didn't have much of a gold hoard. He made it look like he did though, not wanting to be outdone. What Rasden didn't have in money, he made up for in fighting skills. Even though he didn't use his awesome powers for good or bad, he did use them to defend his eggs and babies. One time, a black dragon came for the famous Rasden's hoard, which he had heard was plentiful in gold. All that was in Rasden's cave was a few small gold scraps and Rasden's eggs. Rasden and the black dragon fought, and both of them were put out of commission. Rasden still protects his cave, the will of fire not gone from him yet.
