Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Bleed For Me definitely takes after his father, a Sunset Dragon, in his preference for the night—on that score very little changed when that Vampire Dragon bit him. As for the rest of his personality, the only effect of the bite was a complete loss of moral scruples, and he certainly doesn't miss them. If his mother, a Snow Angel Dragon, was sad or horrified to find her darling egg turned into an undead fiend, is unknown; he doesn't care either way. Despite the threat he poses to the others, he is not shunned; some of them are even strangely attracted to the aura of danger, most of all the Sunset Dragon Blodnatt.

When his victims wake up, all they remember is a sharp pain and someone whispering "bleed for me", and the irresistible urge to hold still and obey. Bleed For Me has no qualms whatsoever to use this power on any dragon; he won't try it on a Stone Dragon though, their skin is just too hard to bite.
