Vampire Dragons are members of the undead. They sustain themselves by drinking the blood of others. It is said that they are only “alive” at night, and seem dead or asleep during the day, as they cannot endure sunlight for long periods of time. Vampire Dragons can only reproduce by changing the eggs of other dragons, puncturing the shell with their fangs and injecting venom that kills the baby inside.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

As one of the strongest dragons in the territory, Mamon is also one of the most terrifying. The hatchlings and weaker dragons keep their distance, not wanting to draw his attention. <br/>Mamon sleeps in his own section of the cave, waiting until the sun has fully set before leaving to find a meal. He has no preferences in his choice of victim and preys on humans, dragons and animals alike.  <br/>When in the cave he enjoys mocking the other dragons and teases the hatchlings, scaring them into thinking he may devour them. The only dragon that he will listen to is Whyte, whom he exasperates with his cruel nature. <br/>Mamon also likes to frighten the human female that found him as an egg. He silently sneaks up on her in the dark when she makes her way home and pretends he only wishes to make sure she leaves safely. He is one of the few dragons that want to know where she lives and grows angry when she avoids his questions.
