Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Neigh is a poor, misunderstood soul. He tries to be like the other dragons in the clan, he really does, but for some odd reason he just can't seem to fit in. His roar sounds more like a horse nickering, and he has hooves instead of talons. Not able to understand why he found himself a constant target for ridicule, Neigh wandered out of the cave one day and soon ran into a large herd of wild horses. The male managed to scare them away with his mammoth appearance, but at least now he knew what he was.

Neigh now accepts the fact that he is neither dragon nor horse, but a pleasant mixture of both. He often takes long gallops through the woods on the other side of the mountain, feeling the thrill of nature and energy being released is just like flying for him. Although several near-sighted humans have on occasion mistaken him for a horse and tried to capture him, Neigh escapes from all of them. He is wild and free, and wouldn't have it any other way.
