Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Blueshift's life hasn't been easy.

It started normal enough, with her being a lifely, friendly hatchling, yet everything changed one day in early spring, when she decided to go for a little solo exploration flight. A late snow storm hit unexpectedly and the young wyvern found herself trapped in a remote mountain region, too inexperienced to weather the treacherous winds.

There was no easy prey to be found.

After days of quenching her thirst by eating snow, she succumbed to the hunger and attacked some resident Pygmies, killing them and feasting on their flesh to survive.

When the skies finally cleared and her family found her, they were appalled by what she had done and banished her from their midst.

Blueshift has wandered the area ever since, seeking refuge with different groups of dragons whenever she can, but she still dreams of someday being forgiven, being able to return to her family.

Maybe then she will be able to forgive herself as well.
