Blacktip Dragons are a small, shore-dwelling breed that tend to nest on sheer ocean side cliffs. They live in groups under a dominant female, who prevents her subordinates from breeding. During the mating season, a group of Blacktips can be very noisy and smelly indeed; males produce a distinctive musky odor and loud, low-pitched honking noises in an attempt to woo the alpha female.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Baups was once part of a group of other Blacktips that had nested near a town by the shore. Unfortunately, during an unnaturally crowded mating season, she was disregarded and left behind when the others decided to relocate.

Quite the tragedy indeed, and it did leave her feeling empty inside, but not for long.

When Baups realized how beautiful the nearby town looked as the sun was setting, with the harbor's lanterns all lit up for the night, it somehow made her feel renewed. So, she fashioned her own little nest in the rocks, close enough to the harbor itself so that she could visit it regularly. The townsfolk were very welcoming of her--at first she feared they would reject her because of her odor, but the smell of the sea was far more pungent.

She is known to hang around the various inns, happily chowing down on free chips that the owners gather up from leftovers to give to her; at night, she can be seen gazing up towards the sky from atop the mast of one of her favorite boats.
