Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It loves frolicking among the flowers.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

Rudolph has a very shiny nose. Some of the other dragons even say it glows. They're a little bit leery of him because his nose is unlike theirs, and he has no wings so he's unable to fly with them. This leaves poor Rudolph unable to join in the games the others play. However, he's made a quiet corner for himself deep under the trees and there he plays with the twigs and leaves and insects, unconcerned with the perceptions of the other small dragons.
