Nebula Dragons are nocturnal creatures. With the best eyesight to be found, they are often seen staring into space. Each dragon tends to observe a particular nebula and will eventually change their colors and patterns to match it. As the nebula changes over time, the dragon changes with it. The more intricate the design of the nebula, the better chance an individual has of attracting a mate. It is said that the markings on no two Nebula Dragons will be exactly the same.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

A creature of both great beauty and ill-omen, this dragon is admired by many- from afar. Her scales bear the patterns of so many stars that she practically shines, her throat is ringed with a veritable necklace of constellations, and her wings are dusted with the subtle colors and patterns of an exceptionally gorgeous nebula.  She would ordinarily have no shortage of suitors among her own kind and could easily find mates of almost any breed, but her temperament ensures that she is seldom sought out. In her nightly viewing sessions, Adawulcan imagines she sees doom written in the stars and she considers it her duty to keep others forewarned. No amount of reassurance from mages, seers, or other star-watching nebula dragons will dissuade her. Most shun her company, fearful of her prophecies or exasperated with her pessimism. She does nothing to discourage them; better to be alone, she feels, than to risk dragging others along to her fated end.
