Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Akyyo is extremely protective, and surprisingly maternal, for a dragon of her caliber. When attempting to approach one of the eggs or hatchlings, one must first earn the trust of Akyyo, or Keeper, else they'll be in for an unpleasant surprise when they find Akyyo prepared to lunge. As the first adult, she shares a close bond with Keeper, trusting Keeper more than any other human, and being protective of Keeper as she is to the young.

Once, the cave was attacked by a wild dragon. Akyyo was the one to fight it off. Just recently matured, in a nest consisting of just eggs and newborns, she was the the only one capable of defending the cave. The battle was fierce, and almost fatal for Akkyo, but she managed to drive off the antagonistic dragon. Through Keeper's help in treating the wounds-and exuberant encouragement from her adopted younger siblings-Akkyo pulled through. She still bears a jagged scar behind her left wing.
