Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. Like with the egg, time feels inconsistent around this hatchling.

And look! It has gotten bigger! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

This hatchling is suffering from a case of bittersweet nostalgia. Years ago, the hatchling often visited a place called 'The Interwebs', a conglomerate of caves inhabited by spiders. These caves were filled with cobwebs to such an extent that people started to call them websites.

These websites attracted dragons of all kinds. One part of website in particular caught the attention of this hatchling, developing into one of his favorite places. There, he met lots of great other hatchlings who made his day, especially in a sub-part of the webite called Fun Chat.

Unfortunately, over time, people stopped visiting, and ultimately, the cave itself got cleaned out, leaving behind good memories and a feeling of loss.
