Witchlight Dragons are silent, secretive beasts that haunt the most remote corners of the wilderness. They beguile their unsuspecting prey into peril by assaulting their perceptions of reality and stoking the fires of paranoia with masterfully-conjured illusions. Unwary travelers have been led astray by the soft, inviting glow of their eyes amidst a sea of encroaching darkness, never to be seen again. Those that survive a Witchlight Dragon’s psychic onslaughts do not escape unchanged: some believe that the apparitions these dragons summon to tempt or torment their victims awaken them to hidden truths about themselves.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Ajud Wicca had been taken in when she was just a little hatchling, not even matured yet. Under her new owner's care, she witnessed a terrible tragedy befall the eggs that he was caring for. Eggs were becoming very sick and dying despite every attempt her owner made to save them. Fogging spells, warding magic, everything he could think of he tried. Still, the eggs died. Other dragons around the cave were beginning to speculate that an attacker was afoot, and guards were placed outside the nursery to prevent any strangers from getting in.

Ajud had volunteered to personally watch over the eggs. While this raised suspicion, she managed to get away with being a personal guard for the eggs. At last, a few eggs had survived to hatching, and Ajud was heralded by a few as a miracle-worker. She kept watch over the hatchlings as they grew, and could only rest when they successfully matured and became adults. While up to her own trickery, she still acts as a guard for future eggs to this day.
