Global Chick Response Unit XJ-9, also known as Jennifer Wakeman, is a state-of-the-art magic-powered defensive battle Chick commanded by her mother, the brilliant yet weird Dr. Nora Wakeman. Dr. Wakeman commands XJ-9 to defend Terra Draconis in general and Tremorton Cave in particular. Tired of this tedious duty, Jenny, as she prefers to call herself, just wants to live a life as a normal chick.

Jenny soon found friends in Brad and Tuck, the next door cockerels, and Sheldon (love struck at first sight), but also raised the bad will of Brit and Tiff, the top chicks in Tremorton. It is not easy to be a Teenage Chick, especially when a date with Don Prima, the good looking rooster, is interrupted by a Cluster attack or a jealous Sheldon—or both. But there is always room for improvement (on occasion, a few new weapons have proven to be very helpful).
