Aww... It’s a cute baby drake. It has the colors of a bright summer day.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young drakes are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own.

DayGloryPrincess is a beautiful Day Glory Drake hatchling. Her wings sparkle in the sun while she flies. Her antlers are small but have a wonderful and complex set of points. Everyone comments on DayGloryPrincess's antlers and how beautiful they are. But DayGloryPrincess hasn't let this go to her head. She spends her time flying and swooping over the landscape near her cave.
