Horse Dragons have equine-shaped bodies and hooves instead of claws, which allow them to be fast runners. They specialize in running takeoffs, which are quicker than taking off from a stand-still. Horse dragons are able to stalk their prey from the ground then quickly execute an aerial attack for the kill.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Her name means "Favorite Horse" in Japanese. She is one of the many daughters of Kentaro and Kiyomi. She grew up with her best friend Keiba and the two have always been inseparable. They played together when they were hatchlings, hung out when they were maturing, they both fell in love at the same time (to best friends), and they had a double mating ceremony. For a horse dragon, Aiba is very calm and relaxed, acting much more like her mother than her father. She has a knack for healing others, and is the first horse dragon in the colony to go vegetarian, since she can't stand killing other creatures. Originally, this decision really shocked her father, and some of her siblings, but considering how diverse her family is, it didn't really bother anyone. She is mated to Zen, whom she met while relaxing by a cool mountain pool. They found they had a lot in common, and quickly fell in love. They are soul mates and always will be. They are in love, and always will be.
