Soulstone Dragons are deeply empathic creatures. The pearls which they carry with them from a very young age are deeply attuned to the emotions of those around them, glowing in accordance with the strength and sincerity of the bonds individuals share with one another. Soulstone dragons have the ability to show that, even in the heat of a vicious feud, the love that friends, family, and partners share for one another remains true and strong.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Akooru has a rather time-consuming hobby: making precision-cut gemstones for dragon courtship. The amount of meticulous attention she puts into each stone necessitates that she remain vigilant during each step of the process, from picking out a raw jewel, to cleaning and polishing it, to finding it a perfect owner who will care for it properly and gift it accordingly. As such, Akooru doesn't get out as much as she probably should, preferring to remain in her cave workshop for days on end. Nevertheless, she loves going to festivals during Valentine's time, when she can show off her wares and mingle with other dragons who take craftsmanship a little too seriously.
