Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

And look! It has grown wings! It must be close to maturing.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Lilltle Vi is and always was a very sleepy and somewhat lazy hatchling. She simply decided one day that staying with her Mommy Whoopie and playing with the clans other hatchlings was far more to her liking than ever growing up (or learning to spell her name right). She charmed Peble into sharing his secret with her and now has no worries left in the world.
