Feisty and energetic, Whiptail Dragons pride themselves on their speed and agility. It is not unusual to see several whiptails racing each other. Though fragile, they can easily evade attacks with their superior speed, and often use their long tails as a weapon, giving rise to their name.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Preferring the vast stretches of the desert over the grassy rolls of the plains, this dragon can often be spotted racing through arid areas, using cactus, stones, and bleached bones as obstacles with which to better train his agility and reaction time. However, there's more to his incessant running than his own benefit; born from a frill dragon mother, the disappearance of many of his mother's breed has always baffled him, and he hopes his constant patrols will someday lead him to the answer of their mysterious vanishing.
