Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Armand's large body and hard muscles give him a remarkable brute strength. With just a flick of his tail, Armand could take down several opponents in one sweep. However, he avoids direct battles since his scales are softer than most Black dragons and provide him with almost no physical defense. Instead, Armand chooses to fight from the distance. With his own scales as ingredients, he can make many small creatures from pure shadow magic. His dark servants are tiny but they are numerous and they can attack a dragon where his head and claws can't reach. This effective magic earns him the name Erebos Armand, meaning "Army of Darkness".

The summoner's most precious treasure is a sparkling dragon that came to him in the form of a shooting star, probably sent off by her parents from a bloody battle. Even though he respects his clan, his devotion is only for his love. He is one of the few Black dragons that don't participate in the clan's hunts and battles, happy to stay with his mate all day
