Welcome to Dragon Cave! Dragon Cave is an online adoptables game. Collect eggs, raise them to adulthood, and then breed them to create interesting lineages. New dragons are added regularly!
Hellfire Wyverns are so named for their foul tempers and fiery visages. Their social structure places all females above all males, due to superior physical characteristics and violent dispositions. Forced subservience of the males causes them to become vicious, petty, antisocial, and passive-aggressive compared to the aggressive and social females. However, orphaned hatchlings raised by foster parents of another species can develop surprisingly even tempers and mellow dispositions, proving that their defining unpleasant nature is, in fact, a learned behavior.
Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.
Darkflame Dawn was the first wyvern in the communal cave and all were once wary of her. When her egg was brought in, all gave it a wide berth, knowing what it contained. But she was a hatchling, like any other, with soft scales and bright eyes. And they watched over her like they would have any other hatchling. They waited for signs of a foul temper and disposition that never came. She aggressively protected her fellow hatchlings and would often sleep among the eggs so that they'd always be warm. Darkflame never let herself get pushed around, her large stature and strong build giving her enough power to stand her ground and should that not dissuade a dragon from picking a fight with her her fiery blue breath often would. It is a continual surprise to new arrivals when they first meet her that she is as calm and rational as she is. Darkflame takes their surprise calmly and, when asked, is more than willing to give all the credit to the dragons that helped raise her.
