Dorsal Dragons are so named because they have large fins along their backs that can be raised and lowered at will. They use these fins to regulate body temperature; they raise them to cool off when they become overheated. The bright colors on the fins double as a means of attracting mates.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

User Description

Rangan Nageoire is often called Rangan, though he tries to get the others to call him Nageoire, thinking that it is more regal sounding. He believes that he is the best, and makes sure that the others know it. The only one of the others that can stand him is Raiquen, and even he gets fed up sometimes. Rangan always thinks that he's right, and he'll spend hours trying to convince the others of his infallibility. He thinks that Angel is beautiful, but he's scornful of her peaceful outlook on life and her protection of Odhran, who he calls Odie. He often says her name with a sneer, turning the word Angel into an insult, especially when she comes between him and Odhran.

Rangan is very proud of his large fins, and will strut around showing them off to any female dragon he sees.
