Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Tinsel-rain enjoys throwing tinsel like confetti. Her cave is littered with it, and she didn't stop there. To the other dragons dismay she threw her tinsel into their caves, too. The Fern Valley Council forbid Tinsel-rain from ever throwing her tinsel again. With her favorite activity forbidden Tinsel-rain became depressed and mopey. The Council felt bad so they struck a deal with her. She can throw tinsel in her room and on holidays. Tinsel-rain took her duty with pride, and now the cave is always more glittery on those special days.
