Sunset Dragons are closely related to sunrise dragons. However, their behaviors differ greatly. Sunset Dragons generally live alone or in small packs. They are more active in the evening, hunting and performing all of their daily tasks as the sun sets.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. Solas Spiorad is a very angry dragon with a short fuse. When May213 took in the young Sunset Dragon as a hatchling, he bit her on the shoulder, which resulted in the only injury she ever received from a dragon. As an egg, he was forced to hatch early, and he began life as a small, weak hatchling. By the time Solas Spiorad was six weeks old, he was stronger and bigger than all of the other hatchlings he was with. Now, he is just a temperamental, angry dragon who prefers to be alone (though he does let May213 lay on his side from time to time peacefully).
