Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. This hatchling is hard to see, but in the sunlight it displays brilliant colors.

And look! Its wings have grown large enough that it can now fly. It hardly ever leaves the air now.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Named after the floating ruins of a certain place, this young hatchling was frozen not long after she grew her wings. She is the only child of Thermadon the hellfire wyvern and Dahaka the sunsong amphiptere. Mt. Gagazet looks a lot like her mother but has her father's mysterious and dark personality. Belgemine, being afraid that she would follow in her mothers footsteps and sneak away from the cave, cast a spell and froze her. This left her vulnerable to the dangers outside the cave, where she is forbidden to go. Mt. Gagazet hates Belgemine for this and thus she avoids her at all costs.
