Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. You find it odd that the hatchling doesn’t move at all during the day, but at night its colors change and it is full of energy.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Statue is normally absolutely motionless during the day; it is difficult to tell if the hatchling is even breathing. Its red eyes maintain an unnerving glow throughout the day and night, giving the impression that it is always watching. Statue doesn't like when other dragons bother it during the day, and will give off a faint hiss to discourage them. At night, however, its boundless energy makes it very difficult to control.
