Spirit Ward Dragons are a special breed that ward off evil spirits—at least, that’s what the legends say. During nighttime festivals, people love to see these dragons, because they believe that the dragons guard against evil spirits. The dragons are dark-colored, but glow with a flame-colored internal light that has an intensity that they control.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Sorceress is a highly intelligent, highly crafty dragon. She finds immense interest in studying the world around her, from plants to animals to other breeds of dragon. She has a playful nature to her. For all her intelligence and intimidating look, Sorceress is actually rather hatchling-ish. She enjoys a good amount of mischief, cheesy jokes, and nonsensical ramblings that confuse the heck out of anyone listening. However, though she entertains herself, when it comes down to it, Sorceress can be an incredibly fierce opponent. She is an expert with her magic and keeps a consistently stocked mana supply close at claw. She's also a brilliant strategist. With all her studying, she has memorized the weak points of many varieties of dragon, and, against those new to her, she can easily search it out. Socially, Sorceress is pretty awkward. She isn't at all shy, but she is not a great communicator. At least her mate, Apparition, is understanding of her and generally indulges her mischief.
