It was previously believed that purple dragons were exclusively female, but this is not the case. Recent environmental shifts have revealed the existence of both genders of this breed. Female behavior is well known; they are primarily herbivores but will eat meat during mating season. On the other hand, very little is known about the behavior and habits of male purple dragons.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Adalindana is a thin, beautiful purple dragon. The first dragon to be successfully stolen from the cave from the abandoned pile, she was the second of her particular clutch to hatch and grow up. Her cerulean blue eyes are always shining, and she is very optimistic. She has a passion for singing, and whenever she sings, everyone wants to listen. Adalindana is sweet and caring, and is often seen taking care of the younger hatchlings. She does not care to go hunting like some of the other dragons, but would rather remain in the cave. She is outspoken, but she will put her foot down when she needs to. Her kindness makes her well-loved among the other dragons. However, if she is threatened, Adalindana can prove to be a cunning and powerful fighter. In battle, she will use the long streamers on her tail to trip her opponent. As a whole, however, Adalindana is hard to anger and rarely resorts to fighting, preferring instead to talk her problems out.
