Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Norioth broods. He broods a lot. He spends most of his time thinking about what might have been, what might be, and what is. He's not a very active dragon, instead preferring to hide away from the world and bathe in the sunlight. Possibilities intrigue him, and he enjoys the idea of alternate universes. He's an astoundingly intelligent dragon, but disdains the idea of communicating extensively with humans. He won't tolerate more than just the presence of a human, though his owner is trying to change that a bit. He doesn't seem all that pleased with the idea of 'talking' to other dragons, either—he's simply a broody loner. A genius among dragons, but his intelligence seems to have been wasted on him.
