Aww... It’s a cute baby dragon. It’s extremely curious and seems to enjoy exploring the area around it.

Young dragons are relatively defenseless. They are born with relatively soft scales, which are shed and replaced with harder ones as the hatchling matures. Once a hatchling’s wings grow in, it typically marks the beginning of maturation. At this point they are often capable of hunting on their own and are usually left alone by their mother.

Named after her thin lithe body, Purple Salamander spends her days with the other frozen hatchlings. She likes to hang out with the pinks because they all have a strange understanding of each other. She sometimes gets picked on by the Stripe hatchlings because they are Rio's favorite dragons. Because of this, Rio froze another Purple and named her Purple Newt. Maybe someday Purple Salamander will have an Adult Purple to look up to. For now though, she is happy.
