Black Tea Dragons have small scent glands on the underside of their wing arm that release a pleasant scent. Though many creatures enjoy being in the vicinity of Black Tea dragons, the scent is intended to draw in swarms of butterflies. Though Black Tea dragons are full sized dragons, these insects are the mainstay of their diet.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

Saer is an impatient dragon, preferring isolation over his being crowded by grown dragons drawn to his pleasant scent. However, he does enjoy being surrounded by small creatures and even some Pygmy dragons. When asked about his favorite animal, Saer will most likely reply with "mammals", and when asked to be more specific, Saer will reply with "rodents". He believes in fairness, and will not take kindly to any situation that is unfair or unjust. Saer is not the kind to sugarcoat bad news, but doesn't like to bluntly share news of that type either. Most of the time you'll simply find him curled up by himself with an animal he picked up outside, and if you try to talk to him don't expect a lengthy conversation.
