Skywing Dragons spend most of their lives flying in the air. They hunt from the air, diving at prey from above, and land only to rest. They are some of the fastest fliers, capable of extremely high speeds. The webbing at the end of the tail acts as a rudder, allowing them to easily change direction during flight.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

MountainRush is a confused young Skywing Dragon. He doesn't know what he wants to do with his life. He just knows that he doesn't want to do anything he's tried so far. MountainRush first tried to be a hunter, but he wasn't powerful enough to bring down big game and he didn't like all of the blood. Next he tried to be a poet, but he wasn't very good and, unlike most bad poets, he actually decided to quit. His stint in the military of his cave was short-lived, because he didn't like how early he had to get up. MountainRush tried dancing, but he found he couldn't memorize any dances. Working at the Dragon Bank in his cave was "too hard" and his job cleaning up the cave "took too long". Most recently, he has been trying to be a sculptor, but can't find the right motivation. MountainRush has done a lot in his life, but has found nothing he really likes doing.
