Black Dragons are warriors. They are strong and capable in battles of force, but also ample magic users, capable of devastating opponents with their spells. Their bright eyes give them excellent night vision, which is why they generally hunt during the night.

Dragons are highly-intelligent reptilian creatures that—from a human perspective, at least—appear to live forever. Many different varieties of dragon exist, each with their own unique qualities, habitats, and behavior. Adolescence in dragons is usually marked by the growth of a hatchling’s wings, although not all breeds of dragons grow wings and some breeds have other traits that indicate the beginning of maturation. In Galsreim, dragons and humans coexist peacefully.

PearlescentBlackSunshine is a poetic Black Dragon. He is the perfect foolish romantic, wandering about and thinking up new poems. Though very romantic, he didn't have any lady dragon to read his poems to. He had hundreds of romantic poems but no one to woo with them. Many of the Queens in his cave have completely shot down PearlescentBlackSunshine's advances. It wasn't going well—dating-wise—for him until he met a pretty Red Dragon, who has just moved to the cave. BurningQuartz heard one of his poems and fell head-over-heels in love with him. He loves her so much that he cannot bear the pain of leaving her side ever. They do everything together. The happy couple hasn't spent any time apart since the day they met, 400 years ago.
